1. I let my kiddos do Show and Tell every Friday during snack until Thanksgiving break. It's pretty much my favorite part of the week. I love when they bring a stuffed animal, and when they ask if anyone has any questions, someone asks, "Whatzits favrit food?" or "Whenzits birfday?" and they give a serious answer, "Pizza," or "March 10th." Hilariously cute. I made this sign up sheet and keep it in a page protector on the whiteboard. Students write their name in dry erase and I limit it to 3 (as I'm sure you know, we don't have all day to talk about Bratz or Pokemon). Click below to download this FREEBIE!
Growing Kinders! I passed out calculators and in 10 minutes lunch card numbers were memorized! I highly recommend this to anyone who deals with lunch ID numbers/cards.
3. We practiced Buddy Reading this week and I have to say I was very impressed!
4. Do you use Storytown? We do, and I love having my weekly materials organized into 1 binder. I keep the spelling masters, high frequency words, retelling cards and the book cover (with velcro on the back to use with the Beth Newingham theme bulletin) all in one page protector so I have everything I need for the week. Anything to make teaching all of this easier!
